Belsouth Football Club caters for boys and girls from age 4 up to those turning 18 this calendar year. We also have Women’s and Men’s State League teams. In the Juniors, we officially draw from those living or attending school in Aranda, Bruce, Cook, Hawker, Macquarie, Page and Weetangera. Some of our players live or attend school in other nearby suburbs of Page and Scullin and others come from the wider Canberra area.

Our youngest players – the Peewees (under 5 and 6) have a mix of skill base activities and mini games every Saturday morning.

Players in under 7 mixed and girls up to under 9 play in an ‘ in house” competition.  Players in the mixed under 8 and under 9 competitions, play games against Belwest and Gungahlin clubs.

Players turning 10 and over play in the Capital Football Junior League

Where do we play?

Belsouth’s home games are played at Hawker District Playing Fields at Murranji Street and Walhallow Street.  Peewees (Under 5+6) sessions are always at Walhallow St.

Where do we train?

Training sessions are held at fields in the Aranda or Hawker areas.  There is no training sessions for Peewees.

Why do the kids get all the fun?

There’s no reason for the kids to have all the fun.  Parents and carers are encouraged to participate in a variety of ways.  You do not have to be a soccer expert to be involved!  up, run a sideline, or help in the canteen.  Another great role is as a team manager or coach.

We’re also always on the look-out for referees and this is an opportunity that is open to older children as well.

Belsouth’s committee and other official positions are staffed entirely by volunteers.  Our AGM is generally held at the end of the season (check this website, or follow us on Twitter) but we’re always ready to accept help offered at any time.
