Wet Weather Cancellations

For wet weather cancellations and breaking news, follow @BelsouthSoccer on Twitter.

Match day cancellations due to weather may be advised over radio stations 2CC, ABC666, 2CA, Mix 106.3, FM104.7 and SSS FM (103.9) if known in advance.  See the Wet weather and ground closures section  of the ACT Government Spot and Recreation website for general notifications.

Match day or training cancellations may occur as a result of:

a. the ACT Sportsground Office closing all ACT grounds, or

b. a Belsouth Committee delegate making a decision in the interests of player safety, or

c. Individual team managers choosing to cancel training for the same reasons.

Parents should assume games are on unless they have been contacted by their manager. Age co-ordinators will be advised as soon as a cancellation is known and they will advise team managers, who should in turn notify coaches and players. Please do not call Committee members or managers as such calls may prevent advice being distributed in a timely manner.

Note: sometimes the younger age group non-competitive games may be cancelled, while the later full-field games go ahead. If later junior (Under 10 and older) matches are cancelled, that will usually be announced by 11am.
